Genny has been volunteering in both the Life Skills and Adult Emergent Readers Programs since 2022. She has brought her expertise and skills from her work in previous educational programs to the class she is currently volunteering in. She has not only demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a variety of levels, but also provided high quality instruction for those who are entering classrooms for the first time. She has also tapped into her community resources to help troubleshoot and find resources for a deaf student in her class, and has passionately advocated for increasing access for disabled students.
