Personalize your page by sharing why you’re passionate about the ESLC’s mission. Whether it’s a personal experience or a cause close to your heart, stories connect people.
2. Use Social Media
Leverage your social media accounts! Share your DonorBox page regularly on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Include updates on your fundraising progress, and don't forget to tag the ESLC to broaden the reach.
3. Reach Out Directly
In addition to posting on social media, send personal messages to friends, family, and colleagues. A direct ask, whether via email or text, is often more effective than a public post alone.
4. Set a Goal
Setting a personal fundraising goal helps your supporters see the impact they can have. Even if it’s a modest amount, it gives people something to aim for together.
5. Provide Regular Updates
Keep your supporters engaged by sharing updates on how close you are to reaching your goal. Celebrate milestones like the halfway mark to keep momentum going!
6. Thank Your Donors
A quick thank-you message goes a long way. Acknowledge donations immediately and share how grateful you are for their support in helping the ESLC thrive. And, don’t worry, the ESLC will send a thank you note as well!
7. Make It Fun!
Consider adding a fun challenge or reward for reaching certain goals. For example, offer to match donations up to a certain amount or do something fun if you reach your target.
8. Highlight Key Dates
Tie your campaign to important dates like International Literacy Day (September 8) or Adult Education and Family Literacy Week (September 15-21) to build excitement and urgency around your ask.
9. Keep It Simple
Remind people that every contribution helps. Whether large or small, all donations are valuable in supporting the work of the ESLC.
10. Be Yourself
Don’t stress over being perfect—your authenticity is what will inspire people to contribute. Let your passion for the ESLC’s mission shine through!
